(TPO) Tree Preservation Order (No. 2) 2019 : Blackridge Community Woodland

NB: The opportunity to object or make representations to this Tree Preservation Order (TPO) has now expired.

West Lothian Council as planning authority under and in exercise of powers conferred under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 made a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) on 9 December 2019 in respect of trees located at the western and central parts of Blackridge Community Woodland.

TPO No.2 (Blackridge Community Woodland) took effect on 9 December 2019. From this date onwards any proposed works to limb, prune, damage or fell any trees therein will require a Tree Works application to be made through the council's planning portal at: Tree Works

The TPO document includes a location plan (page 12) which identifies the area to which this new TPO applies. The legal order cites the protected trees and identifies a range of legal constraints which relate to them including prohibited acts, exemptions, and, directions as to replanting.

The Site Notice summarises the trees affected by the order, gives the reasons for making the order and explains how to object and make representations with regards to the order.
