Livingston North Ward

Livingston North is the second largest of West Lothian's nine wards with a population of 21,610. The ward includes the communities of Knightsridge, Deans, Eliburn, Carmondean and part of Livingston Village.

Eliburn, largely a residential area, is the largest settlement in Livingston North with a population of 6,229. Livingston Village is largely based within Livingston North and has a population of 1,587. Livingston Village is also home to Kirkton Business Campus, a key area for employment within Livingston. The population of Carmondean is 3618. Carmondean is a local hub with a supermarket, library and local shops and incorporates Livingston North Station. The Deans and Knightsridge areas of Livingston North are located next to each other and have similar sized populations with 5,374 and 5,884 respectively.

A Local Area Committee has been established in Livingston North Ward. This Committee is a forum through which local issues are discussed and it encourages discussion between local members, local officers and the wider community, playing a key role in Locality Planning.
