Bridge 19-40 Canal Society

Run public boat trips from Port Buchan in Broxburn on the first Sunday of the month from April to October, plus seasonal trips such as Santa cruises in December and Easter Bunny trips. Boat for up to 12 passengers also available for private charters with driver and crew for birthday parties, family outings and other special occasions.

Carry out environmental work on the stretch of the Edinburgh to Glasgow Union Canal covering Drumshoreland, Broxburn, Winchburgh and Philpstoun, from Bridges 19 to 40.

Address: The Society's regular "business" meetings are at 7pm on the first Monday of every month in Winchburgh Community Centre. Boat trips leave from Port Buchan in Broxburn.

Disabled facilities: None - our boat is a traditional narrowboat with very limited space within the cabin which is entered via steps.

Fees: Annual membership: Individuals £10.00; Family membership: £25.00

Eligibility: All welcome. Anyone who has an interest in the Union Canal or wants to learn how to drive, crew or maintain a boat.
