National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher assessment arrangements 2021-2022

SQA exams will take place from 26 April to 1 June 2022 with results day on 9 August 2022. The expectation is that the exam diet will go ahead.

Courses have already been modified for 2021-22 to support pupils in light of disruption to learning caused by Covid-19 and SQA has published details of these modifications.

SQA has now announced additional support measures that will be put in place to support learners affected by disruption caused by Covid-19 this session. These take the form of revision supports. These resources can be found on Ushare

SQA has released further details regarding its Exceptional Circumstances service

Further details regarding its Appeals services for 2022 will be published shortly.

If changes to public health advice mean that exams can no longer be safely held, SQA will ask teachers and lecturers to use their professional judgement of assessment evidence to determine pupils' grades. This professional judgement would be based on ongoing evidence gathered over the course of the school year.

Further details regarding these latest announcements can be found on the SQA Information 2022
