Arrangements for SQA assessment session 2021-22

The SQA announced on Wednesday 18th August 2021 that exams will be held for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher courses this school session.

SQA exams will take place from 26th April to 1st June 2022 with results day on 9th August 2022.

Courses have been modified for 2021-22 to support pupils in light of disruption to learning caused by Covid-19 and SQA has published details of these modifications.

If there is further significant disruption to learning and teaching this session, additional support measures will be put in place to ensure that exams can still go ahead.

If changes to public health advice mean that exams can no longer be safely held, SQA will ask teachers and lecturers to use their professional judgement of assessment evidence to determine pupils' grades. This professional judgement would be based on ongoing evidence gathered over the course of the school year.
