Changes to Public Transport services in Breich

Passengers should be aware that Blue Bus Ltd service 71 will be suspended until further notice due to the ongoing COVID19 situation.  The suspension of this service would otherwise leave Breich unserved by public transport.  Therefore, the council has extended the available journeys on Taxibus 8 (Breich - West Calder/Fauldhouse).  The Taxibus service is operated by West Lothian Private Hire.

COVID 19 Variation from Friday 3 April 2020

Taxibuses provide public transport to areas where no bus service is available. Taxibus 8 is available for journeys to and from any bus stop in Breich and any bus stop on West Calder Main Street between Burngrange Cottages and the Library. Journeys can also be made from any bus stop in Breich to any bus stop in Fauldhouse. Intermediate journeys between these points can also be made on request.

This service will only run when passengers pre-book their journey.

To book a journey, call West Lothian Private Hire on: 01506 43 43 43.

Passengers must book at least one hour before their anticipated journey, stating which bus stop they wish to be picked up from.  The operator will then give you a pick up time from your chosen bus stop.

This service is available at a flat rate of £2 per adult single and £1 per child single.
