What's Your Story, Pal?

Have you ever wanted to create your own stories, but weren't sure where to start? This short course is all about telling stories YOUR way. Does writing work best for you? Or perhaps you would prefer to use photographs, pictures, comic strips, or just get your ideas down on a voice recorder? No experience required, just come along and get involved.

What's Your Story neverending story

Everyone has their own approach to telling stories. Our learners make everything from their own personal stories to short screenplays and scrapbooks. Groups also work as a team to come up with a piece of 10-minute flash fiction!

We also run a related short course called Storylab for parents. We work with mums and dads to create scrapbooks and stories about the early years, and to learn about ways to read to their children. We have also invited library staff to run special Bookbug sessions, which is the perfect fun way to give children the best start in life.

"I have been amazed how much I have learned in the few weeks. I have gained an enquiring mind when it comes to films or books and gained an insight to how they are made."
