Friends of Adult Basic Education or FABE is a voluntary organisation that represents the students and supports the work done by ABE. It has its own committee, organises some ABE events and helps us to find out the views of the wider student population.

FABE held their final meeting for 2016 on Mon 21 November.  This was another busy session. Issues discussed included the launch of the new Adult Achievement Awards, which several of the FABE committee will be working towards. There were also updates and discussions on the student consultation regarding a new name for the committee.

Watch this space for the results of our students' vote on the new name for FABE when we return in January.

The meeting closed with our now traditional festive quiz which as always was a fun way to end the year.

If you would like to attend our next meeting please come along to Bathgate Partnership Centre on Monday 16 January and find out more about what we plan to do over the coming year.

In the meantime, if you would like to know more about the work of your student committee check out the pdf icon minutes [359kb] or come along to our next meeting.
