Eliburn Park is a 16.5 hectare Council owned site located in Eliburn, Livingston. This diverse recreational area contains a range of environments including a scenic reservoir surrounded by woodland with extensive walking routes to explore and a wonderfully designed play park.
Hillhouse Woodland is located in the north section of Beecraigs Country Park, near the ancient town of Linlithgow. The site is a woodland landscape which has a 1.2 mile multi-user surfaced footpath designed to provide easy access to this precious piece of countryside.
Knowes Colliery Woodland is located on the southern edge of Fauldhouse and it is established on former coal mining land. This 18 hectare, recently improved conifer woodland area provides a circular surfaced footpath which offers attractive walking routes through this natural environment.
Oakbank Bing is located on the outskirts of Livingston and is owned by West Lothian Council. The area, once a hive of industrial activity, is now a beautiful landscaped environment which offers an attractive 2km circular walking route, a home for wildlife and stunning views.
In the serene Bathgate Hills, around one mile east of Torphichen, is the Witchcraig Woodland & Korean War Memorial. This unique 8 hectare site combines both a memorial garden and a hilly, woodland environment with walking routes to explore and excellent views at the summit.
Situated in the scenic Bathgate Hills, a couple of miles from the town of Bathgate, Ravencraig is an extensive 54.5 hectare amenity woodland site, which offers a series of footpaths across a largely hilly, natural environment leading up to the ancient Raven Craig cairn and summit.
Designated in 2007 as West Lothian's first Local Nature Reserve (LNR), Easter Inch Moss and Seafield Law is a 143 hectare site situated between Blackburn and Seafield. This ecologically valuable area combines both a peat bog and a oil shale bing that has been restructured like a natural hill.
Dechmont Law is a recreational area on the northern fringe of Livingston and to the south of the M8 motorway. Dechmont Law is the focal point of this wild expanse of 66 hectare open space which encompasses grassland, mixed woodland and a series of footpaths.
Broxburn Community Woodland is a 24 hectare West Lothian Council owned site based on the northern edge of Broxburn. This extensive young woodland is awash with meandering footpaths to explore, whilst it also rewards visitors with brilliant views over the surrounding landscape.
